This scenery represents the old Vagar layout. I guess it's not everybodys cup of tea that way. But looking at it from a few meters distance is what I want to look an airport like and this after all was the reason to even start this work. I know from a close distance the apron and rwy looks a bit blurry. I have only very little information how all that looks today and it's not represented in available orthophotos so I felt I'd better build the old airport that matches the photo-scenery. There are great changes in the backyard and the parking area, there's a new terminal building and of course the longer runway. (Look around the islands to find them)įrom my investigations I know the airport has been heavily rebuilt in reallife including a extension of the runway. With his kind permission I kept it so you can still fly to oil platforms and more. Now nothing is left from his airport but I still have the off-shore part integrated in mine. Made for XP11 ONLY as it uses the new terminal system in XP 11.20+ I do not claim it's 100% accurate depiction of the actual airport but close., I hope you like it.
